Word of the Week: Family

I've spent the week down in Suffolk with my Mum and Dad and extended family.

It's been a long week away from J and I've missed him terribly but L has loved seeing all her relatives and being spoiled by indulgent Nana and Papa. I've also had some r&r in the form of afternoon tea and a spa morning.

L really enjoyed her first afternoon tea, she had cucumber and cream cheese, and egg sandwiches but decided to just eat the filling and reject the bread. She had scones with clotted cream. Chocolate cake AND lemon drizzle cake.

L loved joining in the chit chat of her mother, aunt, grandmother and two great grandmothers. (All in the group picture above) She has discovered a love of china and her favourite new toy is an empty mug. (Supervised of course and nothing too fine or easily chipable by two sharp teeth)

Sat chatting on the phone. Another new favourite thing which makes a change from waving at the phone expecting all calls to be face time with Daddy Morkus.

It's been a lovely week, it's also been the week in which L turned 9 months. Soon L would have been out for as long as she was in!

Final photo this week is my all time favourite from the day L was born. L arrived at three minutes past midnight so J only had two hours with both of us before he was sent back home. I spent the night awake and staring at L in disbelief that she was here and a she! When J arrived with us in the morning seeing them together cemented by belief in our new family, I loved seeing them together and still do.

In a few hours J will be back with us and we will be our three again.
