There are blogs about twins, blogs about weddings, blogs about feeding, blogs about sleep. Blogs about photography, blogs about crafting and blogs about all of the above.
It seems like a saturated market and yet still there are new mums, like me, claiming there own piece of the internet to talk and share their thoughts on life, parenting and everything in between.
It is for me a way of talking about all which me, J and L are going through, our life and times. It allows me to indulge myself in her achievements and gives me the motivation to do lots of fun interesting things with her so I can write about it.
It is also a way of celebrating my own achievements, I gave birth, I breastfeed and I have a pretty amazing little girl! I love cloth nappies and feel I am going through a make over. I want to use my teacher training in a fun creative way.
I love that blogging mums have communities, share ideas and support each other. When I posted about my own dilemma I was a little taken aback at the support and reassurance that did come my way. I needed it and that was why I posted, not to feel justified in my parenting but to feel supported that I wasn't failing L.
I read on a blog hop yesterday one bloggers annoyance at blogs which lose their integrity by trying to please everybody. I commented that you can't be all things to all people and that this is something I try to remember not only for blogging but life in general.
I hope my voice retains its integrity. I hope I continue to blog about the things I love, and write about what I want to write about not to please anybody but myself. I started this for me and L and will continue to remind myself of this. These are my blogging vows and I renew them today.
