Intuition with Wilkinson

All mums know that time is precious, we count days, weeks months as babies grow, we count minutes asleep and we crave a few more minutes in the day for time for us.

Wilkinson Sword have thought about time pressed mums with their new razor, the Intuition razor has built in time saving, it is built in ease of use and it is perfect for those snatched five minute showers.

Twelve Short Months: what I wish I had known then

We arrived home with a three day old baby. I was still crippled with pain and discomfort from the cesarean. L was feeding lots but very well. My milk hadn't come in yet.

We were in the eye of the storm. That quiet bit when you think danger has passed but in fact you're still in the middle of the drama and should be preparing for another direct hit.

Father's Day passed in a happy mood of cuddles and feeding and the slight discomfort of milk coming in. I was on the the pain killers and thought the increasing pain was par for the course. After a feast of, much missed while pregnant, sushi, I attempted to go to bed with L around 8pm. She was by my side of the bed for easy night feeding access.

On our first night home in a hand knit and next to our bed, it was hard not to
stay awake watching her.

Me and Mine: February

It was the first beautifully sunny day in weeks, after all the rain, after all the gloom after all the days stuck in side.

We were certainly not the only people to be making the most of the sunshine on this day. And Lloyd Park was full to bursting! This is a park in which J spent many a day when he was growing up, this was the first time he has taken me and we will certainly be going back.

So here is a massive photo dump of our day out. Check out the cool swing so that mum and dad can join in the fun, or siblings obviously but I can not be the only adult who is jealous of a child on the swings.

New Year New You Style Project

Modern Mummy and An Essex Wife have started a new feature called the New Year New You Style Project. Basically a month of prompts to be interpreted as you wish in your style, a way of helping you refresh your style or giving you a little nudge in a new direction.

The Week That Was Spent Finding Time for Mum

When I was part of Make Do and Push's What's in Your Changing Bag feature Hannah asked me what I do to retain my sense of self.

"How do you preserve/maintain your sense of self?I make time every day to shower and put on a bit of make up. Also writing now gives me something else to think about between baby care."

This week I focused a lot on this sense of self and tried to do something every day.

Get Fit Mummy: week 1

So. Me and exercise have never been best of friends. I am zero competitive and  don't particularly like being hot and sweaty.

New Mum Makeover

I have been tweeting and pinning lots recently about my New Mum Makeover. In the three months since having L I feel like my style is changing. I am adjusting to my new body shape and am wanting to experiment with other new looks and styles to suit this new me.

Body Image

I am sixish weeks post delivery. I have gained a child, nearly 1st, stretch marks and a, what is sometimes affectionately called, mummy tummy. It sticks out and wobbles in a way it never used to.
