She went through a frustrating time trying to work out what to do once she was on her front, but now, now she is going places. She is getting where she wants to be. In her own baby way.
She can shuffle around on her front a complete 360 degrees. By pulling and pushing and generally being super cute. She puts her head down and slowly but surely does it.
She determinedly shuffles to reach her toys. She sets her sights on something and then goes for it. If she wants to watch the sneaky TV even though mummy has put her facing the wrong way she will turn and get there. If she wants that squishy rattle caterpillar she will push, grunt and pull her way to him.
I love it.
The Beyoncé mother in me cheers for her independent spirit. Set your sights on your goals and go places L. And oh the places you will go! Today you are reaching for your rattles, where will you reach tomorrow?
I can't wait to find out.
Well Done L, what an amazing achievement independence is waiting in the wings ready for the full blown crawl x

I know! How exciting. She is trying to get her legs under but obviously can't manage it just yet. Although I can't leave her alone in a room as it is even less when she is crawling!
DeleteWell done little one, rolling is a big achievement! Love this book too, we borrowed it from the library and ended up buying it for the girls for Xmas #MagicMoments

ReplyDeleteYes it is, and this is such a small stepping stone really, it is how we see it which makes it so much bigger.
